Davidson Water, Inc. Scholarship Program

Davidson Water, Inc. has established a scholarship program in memory of all past board members who volunteered their time, knowledge and expertise to form and administer a water system in order to provide safe water of high quality for present and future generations. Four scholarships of $1000 each will be awarded to deserving high school seniors who plan to enter a four-year degree program during the 2009-2010 school year.

Either the applicant or the applicant's spouse, parent or guardian must be a member of Davidson Water, Inc.; all customers of Davidson Water are members.

A scholarship committee of three people has been formed by Davidson Water, Inc. to administer and award the scholarships. The scholarships will be based on scholastic achievement, extra curricular activities (school, civic, community) and need. The winner must have been accepted by an accredited four year college or university.

The submittal to the scholarship committee must contain the following items:

• A scholarship application
• A copy of his or her transcript
• His/her financial need
• His/her long range career goals
• Two recommendations from teachers, principal or counselor

The check will be sent directly to the recipient's college or university in July. Applications must be submitted by March 27, 2009 to:
