At our treatment facility located at 388 Koontz Rd, Lexington, NC, near Yadkin College, our filter backwash water flows into a gravity thickener to concentrate the sludge. This sludge is then pumped to a mechanical press which removes the water and produces a sludge that is later used in agricultural land application. The water removed through this process along with the settling basin sediment flows into two wastewater ponds where final solids are removed. All decant water in 2025 was recycled into our raw water reservoirs.
During the calendar year of 2025, there were no violations of any permit conditions, environment regulations, or environment laws.
