At our treatment facility located at 388 Koontz Rd. Lexington, NC, near Yadkin College, we cycle our filter wash water and our settling basin sediment into our two wastewater ponds from which the sediment is removed. Following the solids removal, decant water is recycled into our raw water reservoirs or returned to the Yadkin River.
During the 2018 calendar year decant water was recycled for the majority of the year, resulting in approximately 100 Million Gallons of water being recycled through our treatment process. This equates to a cost savings to our company and customers.
